The phenomenon of migration has been an important factor in the shaping of humanity and civilizations throughout history. In this context, Turkey is historically one of the first regions that come to mind when it comes to immigration, due to its diaspora and its geographical location, which is the crossroads of migration routes.
However, especially in recent years, regional developments related to migration and the role our country has assumed in this context necessitate the formation of a Turkey-centered migration perspective. For this reason, the Foundation has determined the main fields of study of the Turkish Migration Research Center, which we established in order to conduct research and produce policies on migration-related issues concerning Turkey, as migration to Turkey, migration history, resettlement, integration and participation policies.
